The project

Bruce, the founder of a new therapy practice, approached me to design a custom Squarespace website. He envisioned a clean, easy-to-navigate, and editable website inspired by mid-century modern aesthetics and strong symbolism to reflect his offerings. He wanted a website that was not only visually appealing but also functional and easy to update. A key requirement was the ability to easily add more therapists to the site as the practice grew.

The branding & website design process

Our collaboration began with a focus on the fundamental elements of web branding. We discussed Bruce’s vision, goals, and inspirations, which guided the development of a cohesive web brand identity. Drawing inspiration from mid-century modern aesthetics, I created a brand moodboard, a color palette and typography system that would convey a sense of warmth, trust, and professionalism.

Over the course of two weeks, I designed and developed a custom Squarespace website for Bruce. The design process started with the creation of the homepage wireframe and key sections. The website features a custom logo animation and graphic elements inspired by mid-century modern design to encapsulate the desired aesthetic.

The outcome of our web design collaboration is a unique and distinctive custom Squarespace website that clearly reflects Bruce’s personality and professional ethos. The website is not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional and easy for Bruce to edit and update. This new online presence effectively communicates the intimacy and sensibility of his therapy practice, providing a seamless and supportive experience for potential clients.
