The project

Kathryn Gibson approached me to create her first website, aiming to establish a robust online presence. She needed a platform to showcase her work, sell her paintings, announce exhibitions, and share her portfolio with galleries.

The Squarespace website design process

Our collaboration began with a detailed questionnaire to capture Kathryn’s vision, followed by an inspiration session and a strategy call to delve deeper into the website's direction and her specific needs.

I assisted Kathryn in gathering and organizing all her content, ensuring her galleries were structured effectively. With no existing branding, I developed a complete web branding package, including a text-based logo, a moodboard, a color palette, and a typography system. The design was kept minimalistic to ensure that her art remained the focal point.

The website was designed to accommodate Kathryn’s multidisciplinary work in a well-organized manner, allowing for the easy addition of new art over time.

The finished website showcases Kathryn's work and accomplishments effectively. It provides a clean, minimalistic platform that highlights her paintings, exhibitions, and portfolio, ensuring that her art is the main focus while offering an intuitive experience for visitors.
