The project

John contacted me to create his first website, aiming to establish a strong online presence and prepare for the release of his upcoming photography book. He needed a platform to present his work comprehensively.

The Squarespace website design process

Our collaboration began with a detailed questionnaire to understand John’s vision, followed by an inspiration session and a strategy call to discuss the website direction and specific needs. I assisted John in gathering and organizing all his content, ensuring that his galleries were structured effectively with an optimized backend and frontend design.

Without existing branding, I developed a complete web branding package, including a text-based logo, a color palette, and a typography system. This culminated in a simple yet powerful portfolio website. To help John to manage and update his site, I provided a comprehensive PDF guide and a video tutorial.

The resulting website is memorable and accurately reflects John’s work, allowing visitors to explore his different galleries with ease. It provides a streamlined, user-friendly platform that highlights his photography and supports the promotion of his upcoming book.
