The project
Angela, the owner of Indalma Creative contacted me to redesign her website, which was previously built on WordPress, following a recent full rebrand. She wanted a platform that required minimal maintenance and was user-friendly, allowing her team to easily make updates and add new blog articles.
The Squarespace website design process
Our collaboration began with a strategy call with the team where we discussed their experience, brand, goals, and inspirations. With a strong team covering all the needs for a successful website, they gathered all the content necessary for the new site. The goal was to create a modern, unique website that reflected their new branding, translated her singular in-depth approach and showcased accurately the quality of their work.
Through an in-depth process and preparation, over the course of two weeks, I designed and developed a fully custom Squarespace website. This involved importing all blog posts from WordPress, creating URL redirects, adding the proper categories, and setting up a blog navigation system to allow visitors to easily browse posts of interest. The design process started with the creation of the homepage wireframe and key sections, ensuring the site was both visually appealing and functional. Smart coding techniques were used to ensure the team could easily make updates.
At the end of the design build, I provided the team with a video recording and a PDF of the custom-coded elements, enabling them to update their website independently.
The outcome of our web design collaboration is a unique, clear, and user-friendly website that effectively reflects Indalma Creative’s personality and expertise. The new site not only aligns with their professional approach but also empowers the team to maintain and update it with ease.
