The project
The United Steelworkers (USW) reached out for support with their new website, needing assistance with design, user experience, and overall structure. We tackled this through a Design Day, focusing on creating a site that was impactful, engaging, and user-friendly.
To establish a strong visual identity, I developed a font pairing and a custom color palette that felt unique while maintaining a connection to the main union website. After reviewing all sections, we decided to streamline the site into a single-page format instead of three pages, making it more effective in guiding visitors through key information.
Through thoughtful customizations, we created a modern, professional, and easy-to-maintain website that meets USW’s needs while ensuring a seamless experience for their audience.
French Version
After completing the project, USW requested a French version of the website. As a native French speaker, I translated the content for French Canadian speakers and adapted the design to accommodate text variations while maintaining consistency with the English version.
The result is a bilingual website that is clear, accessible, and engaging for a broader audience.
