The project

Bryce, the owner of Green Coast, reached out to me for a complete redesign of their existing Squarespace website. The main aim was to create a professional, clean, easily navigable custom Squarespace website that truly reflected the unique area they serve - Haida Gwaii, BC. Additionally, the booking process needed to be streamlined. The website had to be user-friendly, enabling visitors to effortlessly browse, book, and access detailed FAQs. It was also essential to showcase their new lodge rental service in a manner that complemented their current offerings.

The Squarespace website design process

My collaboration with Green Coast began with an audit of their current website to identify areas of improvement. Following this, we had a detailed discussion to understand their vision and specific needs. Since they only had a logo, I developed a web branding that included a color palette, font system, and favicon design. The website redesign involved updating the website from Squarespace 7.0 to 7.1. I focused on creating a user-friendly interface and a design that reflected the adventure and immersive experience they offer. I custom-coded the expedition list to allow visitors to view the route, dates, and prices of future expeditions with availability.

Upon project completion, I provided Green Coast with a video tutorial and a comprehensive guide to help them manage and update their website independently.

The result is a Squarespace website with a strong brand identity, which is not only easy to navigate but also effectively reflects and connects with the region they serve. The redesigned website has streamlined the process for both Green Coast and their clients, making it easier to browse, book, and understand their offerings.
