The project

Borja reached out to me as he needed a website redesign to transition from a fully custom site, which he couldn't update, to a more manageable Squarespace website. Borja wanted a cinematography website that could effectively showcase his video portfolio while being easy to navigate and manage. The site needed to highlight his achievements and provide a strong focus on his projects.

The Squarespace website design process

Our collaboration began with a detailed questionnaire to understand Borja’s vision and needs. We then held an inspiration session and a strategy call to discuss his work and the direction of the website.

Since Borja did not have any existing branding, I developed a comprehensive web brand for him that included a text-based logo, color palette and typography system that resonated with Borja’s artistic style and target audience. The design focused on creating custom project pages with beautiful galleries and detailed information.

The final website is a modern, clean, and organized platform that highlights Borja’s work and achievements. It reflects his personality and artistic style, making it easy for visitors to navigate and explore his portfolio. The new filmmaker site not only enhances Borja’s online presence but also allows him to manage and update his content independently. The project successfully transformed Borja's online presence into one of the standout film directors' websites, showcasing his talent in screenwriting, cinematography and filmmaking.
